i am creating a free poetry website where people can submit their poems and creative writing on an ad-free website...

I need help with finding a free script or tool that I can use, where it enables users to:

-Customize their poetry pages.
-Submit their poetry on their pages.

I also would like to find a free but good working password gate, maybe with a register and automatic password generator option...

I may be asking for alot...

My webhost supports perl, cgi, php, javascript, html, and other.

I use eFiction for my site. It lets people post there stories and comment on other stories in a easy to search and use system.

Development has slowed down a bit but there are plenty of people there to offer support and help mod the script.

It may not be what you are looking for, but with some work it may be a good start.

you can find a lot of scripts on hotscripts.com. Just click your favourite scripting/programming language and you'll probably find a lot of scripts under 'Content Management' i think.

Samba is a very good one for this kind of stuff, but it's pretty hard to install if you haven't done that ever. So you'd might start off with a simpoler script or ask someone to install it for you.
