hi i am new here. i was woundering if anyone knows of a good place for a howto ona web gallery. i know a little php, javascript, css, and html. i am trying to build a new site and right now i am useing gallery2 but i want to intergrate it better into my site by making my own gallery. i dont care if it is database driven or not probly be easyer to make it os i jsut uplaod the files into folders for albums. any help on this would be great. thanks

Might be stating the obvious, but have you looked at open source CMS solutions such as Joomla (www.joomla.org)? There are many gallery additions that make it a doddle to add a fully-integrated gallery to your site as well as other extensions.

Yes joomla cms is a good choice

The Gallery that comes with the new vesions of Bulletin are good.

the thing is i want to desgin my site form the code up and not use joomla sense that is what i have been using as my main site for a long time now with a addon to go to gallery2. so i am in the middle of making my own site with only the stuff i want on it. and i am jsut haveing a little trouble designing and coding the web gallery cause i am ot sure were to start or how to make one. any help on that would be great.

yea but i dont like them and i jsut need a how to on how to design a basic gallery i dont want a prebuilt one. i have used to many scripts from others and would liek to build this site form scratch even though i can use the other stuff.
