I would like to know how you get News image scrolling like in this website

I want to create a soccer news website (manchester united) and I want my first page to have images scrolling like that with the possibility to click on the smaller images on the right to see the image with the resume of the news

That site is using a LOT of javascript and appears to be written in .Net. You might find a similar solution using AJAX scripts.
