I am completely revamping my school news paper page and was looking for some idea's for it. Anything's better than the way it looks now. Any idea's welcome!

For one thing you need to get rid of all that RED. Don't get me wrong, I love red (see my username), but visually that site is a headache to look at, it's just too much. Use the red as an accent color, or in very small areas, like a footer, and don't stick dark text over top of it.

There are tons of free templates to use as a starting point, find one that suits you and go from there.

I agree, get rid of the red, the design doesn't really flow creating a fluid design that works with your current theme colours, red would be ok to use just not as prominent. You can get some really good design ideas from places like http://www.smashingmagazine.com
