It is a business website and I really need to start this up.

Could anyone and everyone give me tips on how to start it up.

I don't think that you'll need a T1, just find a reseller host there are a ton out there, you could probably even just got a normal shared host until things pick up enough. I don't know what other help you are in need of but good luck in your adventure.

I would just get a godaddy reseller account and set him up on godaddy. If you are going to host yourself you don't have to have a T1 (although im sure the client wouldn't mind if you got one). But you do need to make sure you backup automatically daily and keep at least a couple days of backup in case something goes wrong. You also probably need a good quality backup battery in case the power goes out because you need to be able to offer hosting with no down time or people will not choose to host with you. Also it is good to make sure you have FTP access to your server so your clients can access their files from their homes or office or whatever. If you are offering this service to multiple clients it is good to have more than one server (windows, linux) because different websites require different server platforms.

If you are only going to be hosting this one business or even just a few i would just get a godaddy reseller account but if you plan to host more than 10-15 clients then it might be worth setting up all the necessary items for hosting.

Hi Cyberfriend,
So where are you up to on the project? And what do you know, and what do you still have to learn?

That would be a good starting point for everyone here, so we can guide you in the right direction.
