As you know on my website I have Artist profiles, and also have a news sections with RSS Feeds for each artist. Would it be a good idea to reference the RSS Feed and have it show up in the address bar with the URL of the page?

i think it is a nice idea it would help reader to easily access your rss and they could subscribe to your post.

Yes! RSS feeds allow your users to subscribe your feed. Hence, the user can just check the RSS feed, and if he/she likes what you posted, they'll just click on the rss feed link.
