I have this photo studio that I'm doing a gallery for and I need to photos to keep 100% quality. Do you know the exact way/file type etc I should upload these to retain 100% quality on the web? Ive tried a few things but still it looks slightly fuzzy or a little pixelated.

That's going to be next to impossible. Browsers don't render files like TIFFS and with a JPG there's always going to be some loss in getting it to the web. If you're editing the photos in Photoshop, don't use 'save for web' - use Save As, keep the DPI to at least 300 and save the JPG.

I work with design all the time and I can manage to get my images to render exactly how they come out of photoshop. I don't know what you're doing wrong...

Increasing the DPI only applies to print media; It's still going to render as any normal 72 DPI image on the web.

Exactly how are you displaying your images? By html IMG tags, Flash, Silverlight?

I'm not doing anything wrong.. but if you do a 'save for web', you're GOING to get some loss in the image - it may not be real obvious, but it's there, it's the nature of JPG, it's a lossy format.

Bump up the quality to 100% on the SAVE FOR WEB. Easy.
The difference in quality isn't even noticable.

Not noticeable on the eye is one thing.
But then, if it's a photo studio, they might want to propose their photo to be downloaded for print.
And I don't speak of home made print on inkjet printer.
I speak of quadrichromy on an offset printer.

In that case, the tiff is the way to go.
And even "RAW" file would be good, if the pictures are coming from a numeric camera.

It's a gallery. My assumption would be that they'd have mentioned it if the images were for download for image manipulation.

Try displaying a TIFF or RAW on the web - as the question explains.

I did not see any mention about a picture gallery, just about a photo studio.
I did talked about tiff and raw to download them, as I think that if a studio want a gallery, it will be to sell their pictures.

Try to sell a jpg 100% 72dpi to someone who want to do offset printing...
You will just not sell even 1 of those.
