I'm doing a website for a church youth group, and the pastor wants the youth to be able to upload movies, pictures, and files and be able to view and download it all. I thought it would need to be flash integrated, but im not sure about the easiest and most elegant way to do this. Thanks a lot guys.

thats cool, but i need something i can host on our server, and it doesn't need to be so complex, but basice video, photo upload and sharing.

So almost like a YouTube, Flickr, and DocStoc combined? Look into the Drupal CMS and see all that it can do. There are modules that can deliver for you in all 3 of these areas. I'm not sure what kind of money this pastor has, but uploading of video requires some high level server infrastructure and management. So you may want to think through that part first.

Yep this is very important, if you are going to allow video uploads/image uploads to a server that you will be managing in house... well that will probably cause you a lot of headaches unless you've got somebody good to manage your server.

I'd suggest finding a hosted community solution, kinda going back the KickApps suggestion, or even something like ning.com
