Hello everyone,

I am trying to create a small area on my website that would tell what my site site is about and give some examples of how people can or are using it. For example, I show a thumbnail size picture of a man and next to it says: "Mike uses this site to list his business." I am thinking 3 - 5 people would be defined. Have any of you seen or made something like this that could get me going?

Could you describe in a little more detail what you want to do? Will the thumbnails be linking to something? Do you want anything to happen in them other than showing an image?

If each is just going to be an image you could simply add those images into the html. I'm assuming you want to do more than add simple images though.

My site is a city guide website. What I'm trying to do is to put something on front page that explains how one would or could use it. I don't really have any technical ideas. The thumbnails thing was just one direction I thougtht I could go. Something like this site: http://www.bookhuddle.com/ are the ideas that I'm looking for.

That's what I was thinking your were thinking about. There's really nothing overly technical to what the site is doing. The added some images to the page and each image is a link to another page.

The code would look like:

<a href="path-to-the-page-being-linked-to"><img src="path-to-the-image" alt="brief description of image" /></a>

It's pretty standard html.

As far as the idea in general it seems fine. The image makes for a good way to draw the attention of your visitor.

So I'm guessing this character on the side of the page will be like a tip type of thing like Microsoft Word has?
