I have a web server being hosted, and I'm looking for something similar to FTP where you can upload and download files - preferably with a windows-like interface. I need something that can be accessed with either a simple password or custom user accounts.

This is to be used for sharing files to multiple people as an alternative to using MSN messenger to transfer them, or compared to using a file hosting website like Badongo (Where you have to manage links yourself).

I would try google, but I don't know what they are called. FTP could work, but I would much rather be able to send a new member a link and a password rather than a bunch of FTP info and have them install some software.

If anyone has any suggestions (or knows what you would call this), please let me know.
