Hi, I am wanting to get into Web Design but I have no idea what im doin. I know somestuff. Does anyone know a link to a place that has like the basics. or could you explain the basics on here.

I can give you one bit of advice, actually learn HTML/XHTML by hand before you start using WYSIWYG stuff like dreamweaver. Once you get into the habbit of point and click stuff, its a lot harder to learn the stuff you really need to.

Take a look at the w3c and read up on XHTML and CSS, theres a lot of money in that market if you freelance your skills.

Mark is correct. Learn everything about Web Design coding the long way. Open up your Notepad program and start working with that. By understanding the basic coding structure you will better understand how the coding works and what does what. Also, If you are looking at creating websites - not just coding I would suggest reading every tutorial about Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady, Illustration and so on. Your ability to work in various programs will only make your resume and design skills that much greater. I wish you the best of luck.
