Hi - new guy on here

I'm designing a site for a clinic which houses personal trainers, osteopaths, massage therapists and physiotherapists.

They have just asked me if I can add an online diary/booking system so their clients can book appointments online with each specific employee. They also want their clients to be able to pay online, and for the system to update 'real-time' to avoid double-bookings.

They were also interested in whether this system could produce invoices to the clients and also their therapists to reduce end-of-month administration.

I'm ideally looking for a programme where I can purchase off a company, add to the site and resell on to my client as part of 'the package' - this will of course save me tons of time. I can't find any programme out there where I can buy this 'ready-made'. It seems that I can buy a simple booking system, or an invoicing system (but not both).

Anyone have any links or ideas?

I searched Google for 'booking software' and the first two results led to products that both took the reservation and allowed someone to pay. After looking at both products I'd also suggest searching for 'reservation software'

Neither of the two products I looked at were free, but your client would ultimately be paying the costs. You could charge additionally for incorporating the application into the site.

It's quite possible you won't find something that does exactly what you want, but you should be able to find something offering most of what you need and then tweak so it does the rest.

Thanks. That's the problem I've encountered... there are many online booking products out there, but none that are able to invoice the 'therapists' who are accepting the bookings... think I may have to request something specific off a programmer.

And yip... it's being added to the overall cost to the client - so all good

I think you will have to create something bespoke for them, however with that said its not hard, what I would do is make a calendar and allow patients to click where they want their appointment and once clicked don't allow others to create an appointment in the same position, then i would get them to pay via paypal or something but what i would do is once they have acknowledged their booking they go to pay, but they and an invoice could be placed in their member cp aswell as that invoice being sent to the therapist, so the client can log back in if they get disconnected or another problem exists.

It is a lot of work but relatively easy.

I've found a product that has (nearly) all of what I need!

They also have a pretty good discount scheme for web designers (which is always nice for us penny-pinchers!)
