I have a martial arts website and would like to have a weekly radio show where I basically talk about upcoming events or interview fighters.

The site was made w/Joomla but I can figure out php/mysql stuff. I just don't know how to go about having a live radio show/live streaming from the site...

Any suggestions?

You would need something called "Shoutcast". Shoucast is mostly a paid for service and will provided you with a dedicated IP and Port that will allow for 'only' you (or anyone else you give the information out too) to stream live.
