I've never really worked with either of them but would love to get my hands dirty. Am I correct in assuming that each is better suited for a different type of website?

What has you experience been?

Hello,

I've never worked with Drupal but, I have worked with Joomla. I wasn't really impressed with what Joomla has to offer. I feel WordPress could do the same thing but better. WordPress plugins are free unlike Joomla's and there are more free WordPress themes you can use and edit to fit your website style. If you have access to webspace I would suggest installing both Joomla and Drupal. This will help you weight the pros and cons of both scripts. I hope I was helpful and best of luck to you and your upcoming website.

I've worked with Drouple and found it imprassive. Kewords, description, content, images evrything, you can upload and manage it. It is easy to handle, recomanded. I work for the website vybelist you may visit if intrested. This site is based on drouple having perfect look.

Both of this cms are impressive as well as wordpress. Joomla is great for commerce websites, business website and private static websites.

If you want to involve community better to use Drupal. Drupal provides great content management and categorization, user management is on very good level also. SEO friendly

If your goal to create a blog or a website based on blog use wordpress. If you want to allow users to create their own blogs better use Drupal than.

Anyways your choice is not limited only with this CMS. Other CMS can be better for some specific needs.

I think Joomla is bit tough and to get the grip you will have to devote your time. But as far as managment is concerned they are simply superb. If you want to build a website with great contain than I think Joomla is the best option.

I would have to go with Joomla. To me Joomla is a lot more clean, and easier to navigate.

Just my opinion though.

I personly agree, I would go with Drupal 100%. Worked with it in the past and was very pleased.
