So I worked on a site on dreamweaver cs3, something very simple. I tested the connection to my ftp connection and it was working propertly, but when I try viewing my page online I get an 403 Forbidden error. I have been reading alot but cant seem to figure this out, any advice guys?

You don't have a index page uploaded that matches the server index page list.

I changed the name of my home page to index.html and still no solution... I also tested the FTP and my username and password were correct, message I received was DW CS3 connected successfully to your server.This is the message I am getting on the error log:

Oh, so it looks like the server isn't letting you upload. Try downloading an FTP client - I've never used the Dreamweaver built in system - and I don't know how reliable it is.

For the hostname field (once you've started the client) place your website URL. For username and password place your login credentials - and for the port, leave it as 21.

Sounds more like a permissions problem, and the FTP user doesn't have write permissions to the root folder.

Contact the server administrator to find out why you don't have permission to upload to the root folder.
