I am a beginner and am using a template, I have edited the template to suit in FrontPage, but I am unsure of what DTD to use, I have searched high and low for some indepth information and I am really confused, How is a site affected by not specifying a DTD ???
Thanks
Emma

HTML Code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
But, if you use Xhtml, there is dtd associated with ... But this one is more strict.
