Learn it. It will help you in the long run. It's not that hard. With HTML in your brain you can visualy think of how to create web pages and you can auto fix your problems if you know the codes yourself.

HTML is very easy to learn and you won't advance any further without knowing how to code by hand, so it's a good idea.

Try researching HTML and CSS at the same time. They work very well together.

Dreamweaver is great, but you must learn as much about HTML and other languages as you can. What good is a WYSIWYG if you dont know what it does? If you have photoshop figured out, HTML should be very easy for you. Php, on the other hand, is a bit trickier (but for static sites php is not needed).

Really, the best thing about Dreamweaver is it allows you to see what your code produces without having to upload anything. It isn't a website creating wizard. You still have to do a lot of the dirty work.

You can also get a cheap book from amazon or barnes and noble on HTML and CSS and use it for a reference. They don't cost much like $20
