For me it should have not cost you more than $200 as the site really looks so simple.

I am not really an expert but I can tell what site deserves a higher amount of payment.

Didn't your boss get a quote? $9k is extortionate, but if it was quoted, or your boss didn't ask about how much it was going to cost etc then he has no right to be mad!

Give us more details, I am nosey :P

Considering all the flash work that's in that site, I'd go more than $500. You folks must be really under-selling your work to do a site like that for a mere $120 ??? My price for a site of that size with all that flash would not be under $1000 - and, as Seolman pointed out - that's not even knowing how much time went into it.
Don't take this the wrong way, but the flash can be done in a weekend as the flash is a gallery script. The flash is a minor project, I would say the photographer deserves the most at a mere $100 for using their camera to take the quality pictures. Other than that, I say the entire site is worth about $100.99 (99¢ for the flash)

PS witnesstheday - thanks for visiting my place! No, I don't make any money from the ads- probably because all musicians are skint. Oh well.

Any updates on this saga? I'm dying to know what happens next!

Wrong, I am a flash developer and a business owner. Yes, the work is simple in flash and I could do it in way less time. Flash developers get on average 50-75 dollars an hour and good ones can get 100$ + The only web guys that get paid that little only work out of the basement at their moms house or suck at their job. If you run a business then you understand real costs. I can go on for hours about the true costs of buiding a website in terms of legal fees.taxes, contracts, consulting, design, testing, and more. Most of the people on this site dont bother with such issues and are waiting to get sued or just dont run a proper business. You forget that the programs cost real money and it take skill to use them correctly. If you charge 100$ you will never make money but even worst is that people will not take you serious

I don't know how much would be the price for your website. I'm not good on pricing maybe it could cost a hundred bucks.

Ahmmm...for pricing, you should consideration many factors like the effort of the designer, how long does it take to finish the project and etc.
