hello i'm new here and also new to websites, but i am willing to learn i have an idea of a site to build but i don't know where to find the information i would like to set it up kind of like a forum where users can post their own adds but i also need to have it linked to a search, kind of like the realestate websites have (how many bedrooms, bath, zip code) i'm just trying to find out if this is some thing i want to try and if it is even doable for a rookie like myself after all i know very little scripting and i have used front page.please don't laugh.
thanks jeff

If you use a ready made forum like PHPBB3 it has a built in search feature.
