Hi,

Couple of questions - will your host allow you to point multiple domains to the same site (eg point mysite.com mysite.org mysite.net etc... to your site?) normally hosts will add extra domains manually if you ask - but will point them to the same root.

If this is the case (as it was with my host) you can use mod_rewrite (provided its an apache host) to create a neat little work around.

It basically works like this:

Get your host to add all the domains to the account - once this is done all the domains will point to the same site. Normally this will be the /public_html folder.

The trick is then set up 4 sub-folders (one for each site).

Then use HTACCESS to handle requests for specific domains and re-write these requests into the sub-folders.

It really all hinges on your host being willing to add multiple domains to point to the same site.

Hope that makes sense!

given that the first paid plan only allows for 2 domains, having more than one on the freebie isn't going to happen.

To be honest,

If you're looking to set up 4 sites perhaps such a free host isn't really suitable.

Everyone wants something for nothing - especially me! lol But there comes a time when you have to realise the limitations of freebies.

You can however get hosting for a few pounds a year (or dollars).

I myself got a full-featured hosting account from eBay for less than £5 a year.

Now I should warn you that I have bought several of these before, and have found them to be unreliable - again the old adage - you get what you pay for.

However there are some hosts out there that for a couple of dollars/pounds will set you up with all the hosting you need - I have an excellent one at the moment, but unfortunately they no longer sell on eBay.

I wouldn't use it for anything serious - it's good for experimenting etc... but if you intend to make money out of your site - the spending should definitely be done where it matters - a good host. There's nothing more embarrassing than your site being off-line half of the time!
