Quick mockup of the design process:
My preferece is to start from the top and work down, but you can do it which ever way you want.
1. Create your logo
2. Build a java menu
Add those two items to your page
Create the image that clearly expresses what your company is about with the Welcome statement along side it.
Then explain what your website is about with highlights and other relevant information
You may wish to use the bottom area to add a featured partners banner and along side that, your hours of operation.
Note: I prefer putting the hours of operation at the top somewhere that is easily found.
Also the links at the bottom of the page should be located at the top of the page, especially the contacts link for obvious reasons.
