I just inherited a site which was developed using frames. I'm going to get rid of frames .. so with 400 html files, would it be better to re-design the site using templates .. or server-side includes. I don't see the templated information being changed too often. Explanations welcome .. I'm not too familiar with SSI's

IMHO ssi is good if you think that you might be adding to your site and don`t want to have to edit and add to each of the 400 pages, if ssi is included into all pages, then you can have text files for your updates, which in turn feed the pages, if you think that updates will be short and limited then no need for ssi.

I'll be changing the pages themselves frequently .. but won't be changing the header and navigation (which is where I need the SSI). But since I have broadband, I had someone suggest that until you get up to 1000-1500 pages .. templates are probably more efficient.
