Hey, how can I get the tool tips here to work in ie6, if it can't the site functions ok so far (It's not complete yet) and it may prove a point, but I'm curious

What is your problem in brief? Are you not able to download the toolbar or something else? Have u already tried this toolbar in firefox or in IE7 or with some other browsers or not? Try it in other browsers too first of all, then rephrase your question and you will get some more good answers

IE only supports pseudo-classes (:link, :hover etc) on anchor elements

You can use the whatever:hover behaviour or switch to using onmouseover/onmouseout

well the weird thing is, I have something similar on another site, and the tool tips work on that, but the navigation wasn't in an ol tag with that one like this is, so I'm wondering if that was it

If the :hover is on an anchor <a> element it will work in all browsers.

here's the html
<li><a class="thumbnail" href="http://www.zazzle.com/geekprideuk/tshirts" accesskey="5">T-SHIRTS<span><img src="images/teetooltip.jpg" width="150" height="160" alt="t shirts" /></span></a></li>

the only thing that is different from the other site is it being in a list

haven't tested this but, thumbnail:hover isn't set to apply to anchor elements specifically, which is probably throwing IE off (it doesn't take much)
