Hi All! I'm new to your community, so hello!
I have a question though, I'm in process of creating a fairly large scale community site for my local area and one of the things I would love to add is a script similar to what "wishuponahero.com" uses.
If your unfamiliar with the website basically they allow people to (post/create) personal wishes (like new baby clothes, a set of bagpipes, etc) that members can then fulfill if they feel compelled. See the site for more detailed info. The idea & concept is really cool and would be a big hit my area as it's a fairly low income area and a lot of people in need.
The site updates the total amount of wishes requested and wishes that have been granted on a regular basis. It appears the members have profiles that showcase what they have wished for and what they have granted, etc. Basically I think a user would create a post (their wish) and then wait for a response. Members can then reply to their wish with a grant. If it's monetary they use paypal to grant the wish. Some how it all works together to complete the "wish granted" status. I'm not to sure on the finer workings of their site yet.
I'm guessing they custom wrote the script for the site because I can't seem to find anything like it. Or they used a base script and heavily modified it.
Does anyone know of a script or anything that I can use to produce the same results? It can be a "pay for" script or free. Either would be fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciate! (Ps. sorry if this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it as needed)
