For anyone not familiar with the Gutenburg diagram you might like to read this

It's an idea that says western people read pages top to bottom/ left to right and their eyes "settle" in the lower right quadrant. So thats where you should place your "call to action".
I'd like to know what people think about this. It contradicts the traditional model of placing your important content above the fold to a large extent.
BTW: Is the Gutenburg diagram invalid for East Asian users like Japanese who read (mostly) top right, to bottom left in a vertical manner (but often top to bottom, left to right the same as the west)??
