I received an email from a potential client today asking for a resume.
I am a freelance web designer and have been on my own now for about 2 years. Why would I ever want to provide a resume to a client who needs a website built?

Has anyone else ever experienced this? If, so what was the end result?

Why WOULDN"T you ???? Your resume is a summary of your skills and qualifications, a portfolio doesn't say it all by any means. Clearly this client wants to know more about your skills than a bunch of pretty pictures in a portfolio.

I can understand the client wanting to know more, but I wouldn't expect they'd need it in the form of a resume. I haven't had a resume in years and won't create one for a client. Usually I point them to my site and let them gather whatever info they need. I'll glady answer questions, but sending them something in the form of a resume isn't going to happen.
