Hi Sunshine, welcome to the forums

In dreamweaver you can make templates with 'Editable Regions' which means that the majority of the webpage stays the same, but the bits like content and 'optional links' (for example) can be edited. The navigation, headers, and footers usually stay the same, and when you edit the 'master template' it changes every webpage made with the template. I suggest searching on google for some extra help.

Any questions don't hesitate to ask

Sean

What type of templates are you talking about (ie--Dreamweaver, PHP, etc.)? I always use PHP templates when designing my sites, because it makes changing the layout much easier. Instead of having to change each page individually, one change to a template file makes a site-wide modification.

Thanks alot. I will check out google as you suggested! But does this mean that you recommend the uses of templates when developing large sites?
I'm still not sure what to do?

Hey Sunshine - no probs - i used Templates for a site i did a while ago and it did take the strain of alot of updates. Optionally you could do what DevelopedWeb said and use includes - having something like 'top.php' and 'bottom.php' then all you have to write is the content!

Let us know how you got on!!

People have different views on Templates, they can come in very handy when creating a site from scratch and not everyone is able to design a site, thus purchasing a Template fits their needs.
