i did ALOT of searching and came up short. Really the only option I came up with was homestead.com and their templates pretty much stink!!

Are there any options for a drag and drop web design for a business/ecommerce website with shopping cart?

i actually have DW cs4, frontpage, golive, etc and do not mind using them in "design view". I can get around in that. But once I get to code, i get lost. Problem is most of the oscommerce, magento templates you download are all php files. Well I cannot seem to get php to work in design view... so im wondering what my options are besides going to school and learning web design...lol

I'm pretty new to all this, but I think you should be using HTML/CSS to design the page. And the reason that you cant view php files in design view is because they aren't there to show anything, but to interact with the server according to the users request?

Either way, Just follow tutorials and read lots, that's what iv started doing, its the best way to learn.

No need for formal education, specially if your busy with a job etc.

tutorialized.com should get you started

There are lots of oscommerce designers who can re skin the site for you. Also there are lots of contributions you can use to customise your site. You have to follow the instructions very carefully as it is easy to break your site if you don't.

Otherwise have a practise site you can play with before you go live and try things out. Create a subdomain or something and get your site working in that then copy it to your main domain.

I would look at jQuery UI they have a very easy and well explained way to implement drag and drop into a site.
