Well today I open MS Outlook Express to get the days email to find my inbox flooded with worms. Luckily my security programs notified me of the possible damage. These worms hade the subject "Re.Your website"

Now that takes me to this question.. On many websites I see email addresses written as
“name[at]domain.com” what is this for? My guess is so spammers cant send bots to find emails is this correct?

Humans understand that it is an email address. They'll change it as name @ domain . com
Bots don't.
It is a simple trap.

on my websites i use this simple piece of code...

</script>

Just change the data (to, domain) and then put it where you need it.

It stops bots getting it

You can use name [at] domain.com and the spam bots wont be able to tell its an email address..

Another idea would be using php to create a contact form which you could use for people to email you

My inbox has more spam dame! Ive never had spam before! i hope they dont permanently add me to their spam lists

Well what should make sure to do it not open the spam messages..because what they usually do is have dynamic images.. so when the image loads it logs your email as valid and then you will recieve more spam
