I have a website idea related to food and recipes.

My question is i want to make money from my website but i dont want the site to look like a flea market.(if that makes sense)

I want the site to look like a professional site, almost like the food network site. Is it possible to still make money from a site like that.

Anamaria, how do you plan to make money? Do you plan to sell anything like recipes? Or will you make money from ads on your site? You need to have clear plan first and set up the store in order to achieve your goal.

If you would like to have ads on your site, then your site should be well-promoted and should have really useful information for the members (maybe some kind of blog/forum where people will share their cooking experience). I believe this niche may bring you money however at the same time there may be lots of competitors.

If you plan to sell products, what will you sell? Books/advice/invitations/tickets to the restaurants?

Please share your idea.

Hi Anamaria. First off, how exactly do you intend to make money from the site? Selling a product, ads, or both? Try to give more details so we may be able to advice you more aptly and show us the site if you don't mind.

Before you start your website you really need to have a plan for how you will make money with it. Without that aspect, you could have a great site, even a popular site, but no way to make money from it. Once way you could make money from the type of site you described while keeping the appearance professional is by selling only 1 or 2 spaces for an image ad. That way, you won't have AdWords all over the place but you will still have a nice relevant ad that can make you money when people click on it.
