Well if its a pure CMS you are looking for, nothing bears Joomla.
Its got beautiful Themes and various addon plugins available. Hopefully, after getting done with the initial learning curve it should be a smooth sail.
Various Video Tutorials are available for Joomla : Search Torrents.
As for those saying using Wordpress as a CMS, its a good option though you first need to have understanding of WP and use lots of plugings. The time investment will be equal to learning Joomla. So I'd say start with Joomla
