Hey guys, hopefully I posted in the correct forum here. I am currently drafting a contract before I do any paid work. I have a generic contract form that seems to have just about everything covered. My question is, a "copyright" section of the contract, is it absolutely needed if I am producing my own site designs? If so, would I have to get a copyright on every design I do, then release it to my client when the completed work is turned over? I just want to make sure that all my bases are covered so that myself as well as my client is covered per my contract. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

It is automatically copyrighted to you when you create it. Getting a formal 'government issued' copyright is expensive and fairly time consuming.

You're welcome. Just make sure you document your work and keep records. If someone pirates your work, you would have documentation to back you up.
