Hi,
I am an animator and am just starting my website now. I have a ton of animations for various categories. I'm looking to have a main "network" site, and then several "channels" for the different types of video. The main network would have news feeds, stories, and sample videos from the channel sites, sort of act as a hub.

I've been looking at using Joomla, or even a simple wordpress blog. I'd like something with an easy to use back end. I'd love some recommendations.

It really depends on your confidence/experience level and what kind of site you want. I take it your building it yourself correct?

Wordpress == less setting up time and it's easier for the average bear in the woods. Also the superior choice for a blog.

Joomla == a little harder to use but that's because of it's advanced features. Definitely the way to go if your not going to build a blog. It will require more time learning and integrating your template into it but it'll be worth it in the long run.

I agree Wordpress is much simplier doing this kind of website

I think e107 would be perfect for this as it has all the benefits of the ease of wordpress yet has the advanced features of joomla. With the flash plugin they have it will make it real easy for you to add all of the videos on your site you would like with just a few clicks.

Wordpress for sure. It is simple, easy, and quick.
