Empty menu box on a joomla-based home page

Several users have complained of an 'empty' menu box on the home page. When the blank space is clicked the correct link opens. I've used IE, Firefox and Opera on my system with no problems, as have several others. There are two items in the menu box, one a Home link and one to a non-joomla page. Any advice? It is based on the Joomla Milky Way template. Is it likely to be code based or system based?
Link theatrical-scenery.info (if you visit I am having other problems with the site).

Thanks in advance
