I use dreamweaver to design websites. Is there any other alternative??

There is no such thing as the best. The code makes the web designer not the software he/she uses. Dreamweaver is good utilitized in the right way, but if you are using it to completely build your website you are really hurting yourself. It's going to be really hard to learn with it in my opinion. Your code will never validate and you are completely reliant on what dreamweaver offers for better or worse.

I prefer notepad. Makes your skills sharper and helps you troubleshoot someone else's code.
