Hi There,
I have a template that has been created in PSD format along with the HTML doc. When I open the HTML doc in Dreamweaver I can edit the menu which is great. From that I have created a template. However, when I open the PSD in photoshop and edit the images it updates the template in dreamweaver just fine, but it also saves the part where my text is as an Image. I have tried hiding the text Image in layers, but then it alters the template I have created so that their is no menu system for me to edit? within dreamweaver.
I am just trying to export the PSD to update my template with the new images without it affecting the menu text in dreamweaver. How can I do this? I have been trying for hours and tried to follow the help in photoshop, but it stills exports the text area as am Image! Hope someone can help.

Kind Regards

Have you turned off the text layer in the PSD file before trying to export ??

Hi There,
Yes. In the layers panel it gives me the option of hiding or locking the layers. I have tried both options. When I lock it or hide it, then export. Fetch my page up in Dreamweaver, all the changes have been made, but the area where the text is blank!!

Regards

You should try gimp, it's better than photoshop imo.

I am starting to wonder If I have created the template incorrectly in Dreamweaver. Its been a few years since I used Dreamweaver. I have a html page and saved it as a template. When I create a new html page from the template, I can only edit the menu from the new page? all other regions are non editable? that to me seems the wrong way round. So Im starting to think that when I export from Photoshop it updates everything including my menu. whats the best way of rectifying my template problem so that everything updates other than my menu?

Regards
