I start doing web site to couple of Latin musician and they want me to maintain their website, so I will like to know how much should I charge them and if I charge for update, monthly or weekly.

hmm well you can always chanrge them per update or a monthly fee but i like going with pay per update usally I ask them what do they want to pay and then work out a fair price from there so far this has not failed me yet

You'll want to define with your client was maintenance means (since this could mean updates, hosting, SEO, etc.). If it's only updates, then you'll need to find out how many you'll be doing a month and how extensive the updates will be. There's a lot of variables, so I don't think a fixed price per client will work.

Getting to know your client and what they want is a definite requirement (as Raven suggested talking with them).

I do updates for a friend, upload pictures, add them to albums etc, anything between 20-50 pictures at a time, and I charge him 20 quid (sterling) per update.....used to be 50, but cut it down, cos he does me business favours in return
