Hi all,
I am new to this forum and this is my maiden post, I hope some of you can help.
I have an extensive links page on a very niche marketed but popular paid site that offers a wealth of free content; the question lies in the positioning of my links page. Intead of having my links-hyperlink located on my left nav where the other most prominent buttons are (subsriber content, free content, merchandise, and surveys) it's page placement is actually the the last link on the bottom right hand corner of the hompage.
Some extra info my links-hyperlink does appear globally on the site which is a plus but I think I may be missing out as we have some tremendous links on this page that register a high volume of Uniques per month which boosts page ranking.
I would like to move this links-hyperlink on the laft nav. I am a Webmaster novice at best but know a thing or 2 on SEO and website design. With Google/Yahoo etc. spiders indexing your site via the very most top left corner of your site and read through your html/content from top left down through the bottom right I'm concerned my links page is not having the impact or credit it deserves.
This post was a bit long winded but wanted to give as much info as possible.
Much thanks to those who read this and would love any input you may have!
Best,
Spencer2010
