Hi, Everyone:

I am relatively new to Dreamweaver and although I have read the tutorials and "Dreamweaver MX 2004 Missing Manual," I am still having problems with setting up a site. Whenever I try to setup a site map layout, I am immediately met with an error:

WARNING: The Image Folder is not Inside the Site

I have a image folder within the root folder ("wwh") named, "images." I have even changed the image folder to "images_global." Yet, I still get the error message. What exactly am I doing wrong?

Please Note:

The original or existing web site is already online in my Cpanel folder labeled as "public_html." The site that I am currently working on--who's root folder is labeled "wwh" is its replacement. The new site has been created in both photoshop and in flash. (It's actually a template.)

If someone could guide me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it? Thank you.

On you local copy of the site, dreamweaver likes to keep all the files related with your site under the one folder. If you store you images localy out side of this site folder then you will get that error message. Make sure you local file and folder structure of the site matches your server copy of the site.

Yes, placing an image folder outside of the "root" directory will cause DW to throw this error message. You are not required to place folders inside the root, but things would run much smoother if you do!
