HI, I am learning Dreamweaver and have a little problem with CSS. This is the problem:

I added a new CSS style for different font size and body background through the CSS Styles Tab and saved it correctly and everything in Dreamweaver. When I go to preview in browser, the changes I have made aren't there.

What needs to be done/set in so thet it can be previewed right?? Thx for the help.

did you highlight the part of the text where u want to apply css styles to ? eg if you made a maintext.css and want it to apply to the whole regular text area u should select the whole text then in the css style panel click on the maintext.css

if it doesn't help let me know

this is what I did:

-in normal text file which only has body, h1, h1, and p tags I go to CSS Styles/Add CSS Style/Body Tag selected / Saved to appropriate place/ Background to set to df9300 in Category Background/ type set to: font size=10, font=verdana, arial..., color= ffffff and applied these settings. It changed everything to what it should but preview in browser is the same as befores ie. without these changes that were done (of course I saved the changes in DWVR before previewing in browser)

I just did everything over again and it still does same thing. The mode is on Standard. On .CSS file created there are 2 errors generated by browser checker saying that IE5.5, IE6.0 don't support the FFFFFF for background property color, and df9300 isn't supported for CSS property color. I am guessing thats the problem but where do I correct it? Thanks.

right did u type in all the text then create the css style ?
at the css style panel make sure u select (class ) and if you want the style apply to this page only then select "the doc only"

how about set one style at a time
don't jam everything at once make a textcss then bgcss then headercss ... etc this way u know which one u can c in preview and which one u can't and just fix the problem on that
