Hello Everyone,

I was curious if anyone could point me in the right direction to creating an interface for hosting guild and clan websites. I have a very limited knowledge of HTML and PHP, but it is not good enough to create the whole base. I was wanting something where one can make their own website and allow others of a guild/clan to join and participate on the site. I know this is a huge endeavor, but I was wondering if there was any software out there that helps with the implementation of such a thing.

I thought about using reseller hosting as an incentive, but I am just not sure that is what I am really looking for right now.

I have the perfect solution for you, www.enjin.com they offer both premium and free guild hosting and also cater to clan websites, I have yet to find a place that can equal their features. You can basically have a full guild/clan community driven website running in a matter of hours.

That is great, except for the fact that he said he wants to build his own hosting site, and you just gave him a link to something that already exists.

I might recommend using wordpress multi user, http://mu.wordpress.org/, I have used it in similar projects for creating guild sites. All you need to do is create some custom wordpress templates. You can also purchase some plugins from wpmu dev: http://wpmudev.org/, that will allow you to make it a pay to use thing, and you can have upgrades and what not.
