I have been editing a wordpress theme for one of my websites. It is the first time I have ever tried. I have been doing ok. I have managed to figure out and change most parts of the theme.

The only thing I cannot figure out, if it is possible, is how to get the sidebars to meet with the footer. It looks a little odd as it is.

If anybody has any suggestions I would appreciate it. What code should I be looking to edit?? Or will I have to replace the sidebar codes all together??

This is the website in question...

Cheers

The sidebar will only be as tall as it has content. The "main" center area will be longer, and since it contains dynamic text, you never really know the height of that section to match to the sidebar unless you use javascript to detect it.

The other option is to use faux columns which is where you create one background image for all 3 columns that expands the full length of the page content(whichever the longest column happens to be).

I have found a solution that is good enough for me. I found the background image for the side bars. I simply replaced it with an image, the same size, that matches the color of the background. I named it the same as the the old image, uploaded it and hey presto.

Give it a couple of months and I'll be making my own themes. Not bad for someone who has never done any programming before....

Coding websites .. is NOT "programming".... writing an APPLICATION or software is "programming"
