I think you should write an ebook. They are the best ways to start a site. What the ebook is about, I'm not sure. Write about something that you have a lot of uncommon knowledge about.

My best friend has just opened a blog about chemistry as he is a chemist... just opened and already quite a lot of visitors (about 100xday.. is brand new opened 2 months ago) this happen because niche and because usefull original contents.

whatever site you can choose,but one thing before going through pay attention to your own mind and search for that topic and plan its keyword after researching.

Only choose that topic which you like. Getting such suggestion is useless. You must have a interest in the topic.

I would pick something you know a lot about, dont just pick something that you like a little bit because you will have to give information about the subject and if you do not know a lot about it people will see that and go to another site that has better information.

Anything you know alot about and can update at least once a week, it can be anything but if it doesnt interest you then its not going to interest anyone else.

What type of website are you going to open? webmaster forum?

you have to make a list of what you like most of all: books, music, politic, 3d, webdesign...whatever, it's up to you!! the main idea of such websites is to express you oppinion and ideas about sertain things. Today very popular topics are about webdesigning, 3d, also music

You haven't specified your interest. What i recommend is to have a tv show or movie site.
