Such a relief to be able to ask these sorts of questions and be able to pick peoples brains on what to do.

Currently I have a website in Flash which I thought might have been great, however now I need to change my design to something more like http://www.disability.wa.gov.au/index.html

So that the organisations I need to support me, will then start supporting me.
However I am unsure as to what sort of website creating software I need to make something of the above website.
I have Frontpage and was looking into web easy professional and web plus, but just wasn't sure if it would provide the same result.

What do you suggest?

If you are lacking design skills, I would recommend looking at some free or paid completed designs, a quick google search will show a massive list of website template sites.

If you are comfortable using Frontpage then keep using it.

This website doesn't require any specialised software. Just standard XHTML + CSS and some JavaScript.

You could easily pull off a competitor with Frontpage but how versed you are with Frontpage is another question.

If you wanted a a system you could update via the backend [Content Management System] you could give WordPress (wordpress.org) a try but you will need to have a good understanding of XHTML+CSS and php plus server side techniques

If your website is going to contain just information - nothing dynamic then a standard website built from Frontpage could work.

You must do google search in order to find out various free options available.

i suggest dream weaver for web designing.

I think designing in flash requires swishmax(15day trail that is enough for you to create the flash needed)or adobeflash and for webdesigning you can take dreamweaver or moremotionexpress.

Well, since it's out there, I might as well reveal my newbness and ask if there's a good visual designer for those of us who have very limited HTML skills (with "very" being an understatement). My wife and I first tried coffee cup but as our needs have grown, the software seems pretty limited. And the support has been less than stellar.

As a result, I've been taking the easy route and just using wordpress blogs to get what I need done but i'd really like to build a good static site. Any suggestions would be appreciated even if they include the obvious solution of shelling out the cash to have a pro do the work for me, but I'd rather have good visual software that lets me build my site myself.

Thanks, Flash and Hc. I have an account with hostgator but never checked out their site builder stuff. I'll try that first.

If you want to use latest design template and design skills in your web site then you can directly download ready template and you can easily modify that template and you want to better design option then you will use dreamweaver software.

You can also try various plugins like Divine creating your website. It will simplify your work greatly saving your time.
