Hello,

I am quite new to Dreamweaver and have encountered a problem I can't figure out how to fix...In my editable regions (only on some pages) the text doesn't wrap properly (some lines extend just a tiny bit off the page). Does anyone know how I can fix this? I would be awfully grateful!

Thanks so much,

anni

If you put your text in a table, it won't go outside the lines you have set in your table commands.

I agree with Agatha, however I have one additional suggestion.

I normally place my text inside a table but I place it specifically within the second column of a three column row.

ie:
<table>
<tr>
<td></td>
<td>Text inserted here</td>
<td></td>
</tr>
</table>

If you use this technique it allows you to 'adjust' the width of the first and third columns so your text will look very appealing when displayed on the page.

I tried that and it still isn't working. Strangely enough, the text still makes its way outside the table...Do you guys have any ideas about why? The document was originally text in Word, then I cut and pasted it onto a Dreamweaver templated page (as I did for all my other text pages). This only happens on a few of them. Arrg. Thanks so much for the ideas.

I think you have just hit the nail on the head! The likely cause is the overbloated stuff from Word rather than a fault with DW. Suggest you need to start from scratch inputting the text directly into DW and forget Word. Alternatively, use Notepad and save as HTML file. Word adds so much rubbish!!

Good luck

In the future you can use a Dreamweaver command to clean up a word document.

Just open your page and select Command/Clean up Word HTML.....
