I'm trying to get a website designed and built but am a newbie and am not sure where to start.
I found a good example site: www.datacentermap.com This is basically the set up that I want, just for another topic.
I basically want to have a website with a database of restaurants, with a google map and database, and the features where website visitors can request more information, etc. I really like the way the above mentioned website is set up. I also want it so restaurant owners can submit their own restaurant information to me and if I approve it, it can be entered into the database.
If I took this idea to a website designer, how would I describe what I wanted? How is this website built? How much would it cost to make a site like this? How much would it cost to have data entry done on my restaurant website to get about 1,000 websites entered in so the google map isn't blank?
