I don't have any knowledge in web designing, now I want to make some modifications to my website. But I have decided to learn myself. Is it possible to learn, if I start from A now?. or shall I give the work to some coder?. How to learn web designing through net?

If you get in the habit of having other people do it, you probably won't learn as quickly.

I found videos from a site like lydna were a very good way to learn. Reading books can be a bit tiresome when it comes to web design.

You can start learning how to design and it would take time but would satisfy what you exactly want. There are many tutorials available online you can try them...
But i suggest to practice immediately what you have learnt which will stick in your brain and would not wash away soon...

Since you want to make modifications to your site this would be the best time to learn because you have a reason to learn now.

Hi, everyone. I’ve read much about a new plugin for Photoshop – Divine plugin. However there is no information about it at Adobe’s official site. Have anyone tried Divine? It seems to be very useful for designers and developers.

It's probably nothing to do with Adobe at all then.

Learn it first before making updates to a site, for now, if it needs to get done asap, pass it a long. Websites are extremely valuable to small business. You would not hire someone to build your house just because they know what a hammer is.

One thing, web designing is not possible to learn in one day. You can start from today without thinking anymore and you need to dedicate yourself in learning the best you can...

Like any highly technical career, the initial learning curve to gather a basic understanding can be quite quick. But to progress to an intermediate level or beyond will take a lot of effort, training, and experience.

If the purpose of you learning a new skill is simply a hobby, go for it. Attend classes, read books, research online, try new tools. If the purpose is to have a business's website updated and maintained, hire a professional. This is assuming that your business's website is, in fact, important to your business.
