How did they get that menu bar to be transparent in IE?

http://ringvemedia.com/

I could set the opacity like this: "opacity:0.5;" ...but it won't work in IE

IE6 doesn't support transparent PNG's - you have to use one of the pngfix solutions, and even then it still won't support repeating transparent pngs.

If you want to use CSS, you have to use the alpha filter method.
