Two domains on one server account

So, I have two domain names attached to one account. I had the first domain for about 6 months, and everything was going fine. I bought another domain to start a new blog about 6 weeks ago. After 2 weeks of fiddling around and nearly deleting my original site, I finally was able to redirect to the proper folder and make my new site work.

If I didn't do anything at all, both domain names would have the exact same website on it, so I pointed my new domain to a particular folder inside the directory.

So, now I have a new site with the new domain that I am working on, however I have made new pages(all inside the folder that I am redicrecting to), and the meta description and the title on the new pages all have the same title as the first site I made.

So, the title of the first site was "man with the answers". That's what shows at the top of the new site, even though I put title tags inside the html on the new sites.

I am extremely inexperienced at this sort of thing, and I though someone with more experience could point me in the right direction.

The two sites in question are
www.librarianchat.com
and
www.plasticsurgeryinhouston.net

The plastic surgery site being the newer one. The index page shows the proper title, but I set up the bariatric surgery page in there the exact smae way and it continues to show the man with the answes title.

Thaks for any help you can provide.

I guess the first question: how exactly did you point the new domain at a subfolder... within the hosting providers control panel? Or are you using some type of redirect within asp/aspx/php based on header information?

Within the hosting provider's control panel.

You just need to add it to control panel as an add-on domain then go to your registrar and change the nameservers. They'll be the same as you main domain name. The after it propagates, you won't have to redirect them.

I registered it with fatcow. Everything is through fatcow, which is what makes it frustrating. I registered my first domain and bought the server space, then I bought the second domain name. All of it was through fatcow. So, I'm not sure who I need to be notifying that I have a second domain?
There is no need to add the domain in the control panel, because it is already there.
However, there is only one root folder for all of my files, and the base level site for that root folder is librarianchat.com.

If I don't do a redirect, then plasticsurgeryinhouston.net just looks exactly like the librarianchat page. They are both reading out of the same root folder I guess.

It sounds like you added it as a parked domain instead of an add-on domain. A parked domain will send the same info to both domains. An add-on domain lets you post different content from the same hosting account. If you bought them both from Fatcow, didn't you get two hosting plans?

No.

I assumed that the same hosting plan could have more than one domain on it.
I mean it's working for the most part.

I just can't understand why I can't change the title to specific webpages.
Even if I only had the librarianchat, which was the original domain, I would still want to be able to change the title for each individual webpage.
