This is probably a ridiculous question and I'd imagine it's been answered a thousand times. However, I want to set my image to stretch the whole way across the browser window, regardless of what resolution Im using. Can anyone help me out?

Here is an example of what I'm waffling about. The purple header bar, and also the black footer bar.

it's not the image that stretches, it's the background that simply expands.

I'm lost! Are we both talking about the purple gradient header bar with all the navigation links on it? If I make that bar in photoshop to about 800px x 75px, how do I tile it the whole way across the browser?

Nope you make it 1px x 75px and set it as

background-repeat:repeat-x;

Ok I see. Now here's the awkward part, are you familiar with Freeway Pro? That's the software I'm using, and it is not code based at all. You can add HTML Markup etc but if I'm honest, I've no idea about code whatsoever. Do you know how I can do it in Freeway?
